Congratulations to Kevin Ka Ho Yuen and Yuki Saito, 2nd year Computer Science students from University of Toronto, who won Synaptop’s App Developer contest!
Synaptop recently ran an exciting App Contest for developers. The response was overwhelming! We sifted carefully through a lot of good ideas. We were looking for app ideas that were in line with Synaptop’s vision of collaborating on the cloud. The prize for the winning app was a monetary award and the opportunity to transform their idea into reality!
The winning idea is an IDE that allows programmers to write code on the cloud. This IDE would provide a development environment that is easy to set up, with an emphasis on simplicity for users new to programming, which will be accomplished by taking advantage of the SaaS nature of Synaptop. Users will be able to create new projects and store them on Synaptop. Additionally, Synaptop’s collaborative technology (features such as sharing, chat, video and annotation) will make this a suitable platform for introductory programming courses!
We would like to extend a special thanks to all contestants and Spark for organizing this contest.
Stay tuned for our next contest! Coming soon!
